I am a freelance consultant, contract developer and interaction designer. For the past 10 years I have been creating websites, content management systems and interfaces for top notch clients.
My knowledge has been forged in the context of creative design processes. My clients are designers and advertising agencies whose jobs are branding and communication. Visit my work showcase for examples of websites, flash, cd roms and content management systems I have made.
People and communication are at the centre of interactive technology and together form the principles behind my work. Technology is the design tool, not the answer.
I have been hand-coding HTML from before there were web standards. I know my stuff and what goes on under the surface. There's no killer app for interaction design – I have developed a diverse skill set of programming languages, principles and methodologies.
I am available for consultancy and contract work. Contact me to discuss your needs.

A lot has happened... new and really great things. A four month trip to London in October 2006? Well plans change. Here's one good reason. The rest is mere detail. End result: London is home these days.

Jo and I are going to London at the end of the month. We're planning to stay there till February. It's been 4 years since I returned to Cape Town. I am really looking forward to catching up with everyone... I'll be doing some contract development work and Jo has some research to do in the dusty libraries for her PhD. See you there!
8 school children at a time playing the same on-screen educational game... This is my latest challenge for the museum exhibition project we are busy with. I have found a .net library that helps capture multiple mice plugged into Windows XP - so now my Flash is to be wrapped in a C# application.

Is that the date already? January flew by, or was that blew by. The South Easter got to everyone this summer. The mountain nearly burned down. The wind has now dropped in Cape Town and it's that hot calm February morning breeze... We have some very exciting new work in the studio. A museum heritage site, interactive narrative, education, game exhibition... more soon.
