I completed the development and build of a new site with Drupal and a load of custom module and theme development, plus front-end styling and JavaScript.

I developed a bespoke YouTube uploader, gallery and registration process for entrants to this audition/competition site for a starring role in a new TV series.

Sithengi is the "Southern African International Film & Television Market Initiative". I developed this site with a custom Content Management System in collaboration with sploosh.

2005 Chalk Design portfolio site - www.chalk.co.za
I helped create an online portfolio with careful online interpretation of the brand by sploosh that uses Flash to highlight the superior eye for detail which Chalk Design's work displays.

2005 Cape Legends media pack on CD ROM This cross-platform CD ROM combines the functionality of a digital media pack with a distinctive brand experience. It contains press releases and photographs for the target audience of journalists and media producers to save to disk and use in articles. Authored using Macromedia Director in collaboration with Chalk Design and sploosh.

Flash adds sophistication to this firm's showcase portoflio. The content is stored in XML files and external images, which allows for easy updates. I created this in collaboration with the superb design skills at sploosh.

2005 The Shoji Company product showcase - www.shoji.co.za
I developed the Flash interface with the visionary design of our friends at sploosh. The Shoji Company produces Japanese blinds and room dividers that "enhance the sense of spaciousness and light in a room". Their product showcase uses Flash to portray this sense of calm and order, as well as emulate the smooth sliding action of the product.

Design, strategy and build... I have a long association with Diemersfontein, this is the 3rd version of their site (the first was launched in 1997). Since the relaunch and standardisation of the web technologies used, (XHTML and CSS), unique visits and enquiries from the site have increased dramatically.

2004 Western Cape Education Department CD ROM I produced this for the Western Cape Education Department as a resource for teachers and parents. Authored using Flash.

2004 Le Bonheur media pack on CD ROM Like the Cape Legends CD ROM (above), this product was aimed at journalists and media producers, for the launch of a new label from Le Bonheur wine estate. Authored using Macromedia Director in collaboration with Chalk Design.

This Flash map allowed users to zoom in to their region to find out where Bio-Oil is available. I did the technical stuff; design and concept by sploosh.

2003 Essential Mix promotional CD ROM The promoters of Essential Mix commissioned me to produce a CD ROM they could give to their sponsors (Heineken), reflecting the success of the relationship and the parties. The CD ROM contained press clippings, flyers, photographs from the parties, and a killer soundtrack.

Designed a small website that would be a start on the web for this community-based education and ecological social upliftment project. The target audience is the project's stakeholders, particularly funders. -
2001 Classic pacman - view demo
Pacman is the classic arcade game. I developed this version from scratch to illustrate some of the advanced capabilities of Flash as a game development platform.

2001 Maverick Portfolio CD-ROM
I used Macromedia Director to create this, and designed it to allow for easy updates by keeping much of the content in external casts and XML files. I devised some sprite behaviors to help create dynamic movement with the designs.

2001 Mailbox Mayhem game - view demo
This is a simple game created while I was at Maverick Interface Design to promote an M-Web custom software package that is supposed to make the management of multiple email accounts on one computer an easy task. I developed the gameplay functionality using Flash and the designer applied the graphic look and feel to fit in with the product.

2001 Perfect Pizza - view demo
Drag the ingredients to the pizza to make your own. Created while I was at Maverick Interface Design, this is a good example of how Flash can be used to customise products online. This was a promotion for M-Web - South Africa's largest dial-up ISP. Participants stood the chance of winning one of 10 pizza's sent out daily.

2001 M-Web Screensaver CD ROM
I used Macromedia Director for its ability to write to a local file. I created a series of six character based screens with some simple animations, which changed colour on each appearance. The emphasis was on entertaining young schoolgoers who would download the screensaver to count down to the last day of the school holidays. -

2001 MonkeyFilms CD ROM
I developed the CD ROM presentation using Macromedia Director and Flash, working closely with the designer who created the interface. I then integrated the content into a website using HTML, JavaScript and Flash..

2001 J&B Met CD ROM
I integrated the various media elements (video, audio and photgraphs) from the screen design into the final product on CD ROM, using Macromedia Director and Flash. This included developing the CD ROM's technical architecture and designing the presentation's navigation element.

2001 Durban July website Created a website for the Durban July - a popular horse-race event in South Africa. Developed optimised HTML pages from designs which also entailed some simple integration with an existing PHP content-management tool.

developed a way to allow visitors to the site to configure customised combinations of accessories. This builder would be able to interface with a database and the visitor's choices would be able to be saved, printed or sent to dealers by email. 2000 transfusion website (Solution Dynamix)
Designed and built a functional website that would service the freight and cargo industry. The site would facilitate the efficient transport of cargo by allowing trucking companies to advertise their excess space, and freight movers to advertise their cargo.

Developed the HTML and build the site from designs provided by a graphic designer. HTML sitebuilding; image optimisation; making sure the site met certain accessibility guidelines.

Developed and launch a site with a JavaScript-driven "pension modeller" that would allow staff members to calculate their annual pension payments online.

1998 Telegraph Football World Cup France98
Managed the adaption of the Daily Telegraph Sports pages to a special online daily publication covering the France 98 tounament. I worked with the online editors and a designer to develop the electonic Telegraph coverage of this event. We researched and developed some original content for the website to compliment the daily reports that were also being published in the paper. I coded all the HTML templates for the site and was responsible for the project's launch in time for the start of the tournament.

1998 IDEAL remote learning site for Thames Valley University
Sitebuilder for this remote learning site. Working closely with a database engineer I developed templates and a new architecture for this site using Active Server Pages to serve course content to registered students.
